Solar Control Blinds

Solar control is becoming an increasingly important feature in our homes and workplaces. Reducing heat and light through glazing is often achieved with a window film or a fabric blind but these innovative roller and vertical blinds incorporate all of the benefits both; a see through blind giving daytime privacy and control over heat and glare. An additional benefit is the almost 100% reduction in harmful UV that these blinds stop.

The Sun Shield range of solar control blinds are for installation where conventional fabrics are not an appropriate solution to the increasing problem of solar gain. Conventional vertical or roller blinds, even with a solar backing, are often not sufficient to control the heat build up from direct sunlight. They work exactly the same way as a solar film but without being permanently applied to the glass so on grey, rainy or winter days the light can come in. There is a range of attractive fabrics in tints and colours . They provide impressive heat and glare control values. In some cases the heat rejection value is in excess of 80% and the glare reduction is over 90% and yet, in the daytime, there is still vision through the fabric. It needs to be seen to believed.
